Hot Water Storage Tanks with Optional Immersion Heaters

Since 1923, Clemmer Technologies Inc. has provided innovative solutions and superior products to meet the challenges of a continuously changing environment. We strive to offer the best possible products with sound engineering while working closely with our customers to find cost-effective solutions for their containment requirements.

Clemmer Technologies offers a full line of pressure vessels that meet the most stringent code specifications. Field proven with thousands of installations, Clemmer products are the preferred choice for long lasting, trouble free service.

In addition to the pressure vessels described here, Clemmer also manufactures a complete range of products for virtually every containment application.
Maximum long term durability and cost-effectiveness is a given with every Clemmer Pressure Vessel specification.

All of our vessels combine proven technology with in-house manufacturing facilities
including state of the art dry blasting and high performance coating rooms.
  • Interior Corrosion Resistant Liner - A minimum of 20mm of an aluminous cement suitable for the maximum temperature expected along with the pH of the water is the prerequisite for clean corrosion resistant liner. When future temperature or pH of the water is unknown the selection of Prekrete G-8 (suitable for super soft water @ 180°F) will insure a trouble free liner.
  • Interior Corrosion Protection - Is obtained by the factory installation of screw in (replaceable) magnesium anodes.
  • Heat Exchanger - Must be installed in an oversized heater nozzle (of same material construction as vessel) to allow for a minimum of 20mm cement liner (Prekrete G-8). The heat exchanger shall be dielectrically isolated from the vessel and manufactured from copper tubes, brass tube sheet with cast iron head.
  • Vessel Connections - Are the same material as the vessel to prevent dissimilar metals and
in the case of either screwed couplings or flanged nozzles must be dielectrically isolated
from all piping or attachments at installation.
  • Supports - In the case of saddles, legs or skirts dielectric isolation is required from building
    floor or structure.
  • Certification of Quality - Each hot water tank is built and labeled to the latest ASME requirements and carries either a “U” or “UM” stamp to certify quality.
  • External Finish - Shop applied high quality zinc rich primer, no further painting is required as most vessels are insulated after installation.
  • Inspection Port and Access - Placed in such a manner as to allow easy access for internal inspection of both the cement liner and the magnesium anodes.
  • Lifting Lugs - To allow the installation and placement of each tank to minimize any damage.
